#AskLucia – Hair Weaves

Lucia Musau

Happy New Month!

I hope you had a beautiful Easter Weekend! To start us off this month we are going back to one of my favorite columns #AskLucia talking about weaves. So here is the question:

#AskLucia

Dear reader, thank you for your question! So where do I buy my weaves? That’s a tough one because I buy my weaves from all over the world (literally). I am however not always buying new weaves instead I invest on a few good quality pieces which I can style any how. So far, locally I have found Riena Family Spa to have very nice quality yet affordable weaves from Indian, peruvian, Brazillian etc.

How do I take care of my weaves;

Washing: Every 2 weeks or less I wash my weave with lukewarm water with a little bit of shampoo. When washing use your fingers to reach the scalp and on the weave you just smooth the shampoo on it

Leave in conditioner: After each shampoo I use a leave in conditioner

Drying: Make sure your weave and hair dries well you don’t want it getting smelly

Combing: For curly weaves use your fingers or a wide toothed comb

Daily care: I prefer spraying instead of oils simply because the weave remains bouncy

Hope this helps!

On today’s outfit, I’m keeping it simple with lovely lace dress from Tru-Lush pairing it up some red pumps and on my hair I did a ‘track and sew’ at Riena Family Spa
